How to: 24 Hour Make-Up♥

Hi darlings!♥

I am SO happy it is Friday WOOP! It is the weekend and I am literally about to burst with excitement! Ha.. I surely cannot be the only one who gets this excited about weekends right? I think I just LOVE having the two days to catch up on life/blogging.. and anything else I have missed whilst working during the week!

So… this post is going to be a BEAUTY ONE WOO! It is a mix between a review and my routine.. I’ll be reviewing THREE things which have become an ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL to my daily make-up, and just generally talking you through how I make my makeup LAST ALL DAY!

Now for me… I NEED my make-up to last me all day long, because during the week I am up from 6:30AM, and do not get home until 6PM.. and I really do not fancy touching up my make-up in the loos at work! I can imagine I would get some odd stares too hehe! Up until a few weeks ago, I SWORE by using ONLY my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, however this did leave me looking quite oily and not as “put together” by the end of the day. Sure, my foundation was still on my face, but it just did not look “in place”… does this make senses lovelies? I hope so!

The addition of 3 products has literally changed how long my makeup lasts on my face and also how put together it looks! Shall we talk about these babies?

Magnitone – Let’s get a Clean, Smooth Base♥

First things first angels.. you have to get your skin feeling smooth and clean! The Magnitone has been an absolute DREAM in thoroughly cleansing my skin so that ALL the makeup/dirt (ew!) on my skin is scrubbed away, and I have a lovely clean base to work with when applying my make-up. I am sure you have all heard how not cleaning your face properly can just cause your make-up to “sit” on your face, or not blend properly … since using the Magnitone, my skin has felt SO CLEAN and just unbelievably smooth! I know I probably sound like I am exaggerating (Ha… I know I am over enthusiastic about things anyway!).. but it really has made a massive difference.. and I am SO sure those of you who have it will agree too hehe!

Use morning and night on my skin for a minute. If you want even MORE detail.. make sure to check out my review HERE loves… I talk about what products I use with the Magnitone, both for morning and night!

Nivea Post Shave Balm – Something For Your Foundation To “Stick” To♥

Right moving on… this is my little secret …. I know some of you may already have heard about the AMAZING things this thing does, whereas some of you may be thinking WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON ABOUT SAIRA! Oh yes girlies.. raid your dad’s/brother’s/husband’s/boyfriend’s cupboards for AFTER SHAVE BALM (or just pick it up from Morrisons/Tesco/Boots for about £3).. and USE IT AS A PRIMER! Originally raved about by Nikkietutorials, apparently due to the high amount of glycerin (I think!), it acts like a glue for your foundation! Of course… it may not work for everyone, but the fact that it only costs around £2-3, it is worth a try! I think this has definitely helped my foundation to not budge during the day, and also stops oil coming through on my T-zone. It does leave your face smelling SLIGHTLY like a man for a while, but it is NOT noticeable at all.. and it wears off after about 15 minutes!

You literally need the tiniest amount loves.. less than a pea sized. After moisturizing, I dot the “primer” onto my cheeks, nose, chin and forehead, then blend! I leave it to sit for a few minutes… usually I will get dressed whilst I am waiting for it to settle into my skin! I then apply my foundation/concealer as normal!

Maybelline Super Stay 24HR Make-Up Locking Spray – The Finishing Touch♥

You would have seen a mini review on this setting spray if you read my January Faves HERE… But I have now been using it for a few weeks, and it is honestly SUCH AN AMAZING SETTING SPRAY.. I am SO happy I bought it woo! I LOVE the fact that it was SO CHEAP too.. it was under £10 guys (eeeeek!).. AND I would compare it to the Urban Decay All Night setting spray! I feel that this has been the BIGGEST helper in my make-up staying put all day. It really just does “lock” everything into place.. my foundation/blusher/highlighter stays EXACTLY where I applied it … and it doesn’t start to fade or become patchy! It does not leave my skin feeling sticky or with weird marks on …it… Yay! This product is literally amazing… if you are looking for a cheap setting spray.. make sure to try this lovelies!!

After applying all my make-up, I give the spray a quick shake, and then do around 4-5 sprays so that I cover my whole face! And THAT is all!! The BEST thing to finish of your make-up routine with!

Yay! So these are the 3 things I have been using within my daily routine to really make my make-up last all day! I have noticed such a massive difference since incorporating these products .. and I made sure to test them THOROUGHLY before blogging about them and recommending them to you all! Of course darlings, I know every skin type is different… however I have found these work perfectly for me.. and KNOW they will work for someone else too!

So angels.. will you be giving any of these (or all three!) a go? I would LOVE to know if you do! Do you have something else that you use that works just as good? Seriously… I could not recommend all three products enough.. my make-up has never looked BETTER when I come home after a long day at work!♥

That is my post for today darlings…. I really hope you enjoyed it!! I LOVED writing this because I know I have found some little gems.. and really could not wait to tell you all about them!! I will see you in my next post OK? I am all set to have a wild Friday night in my PJ’s.. woooo!

Lots of Love,

I will definitely be purchasing the Nivea after shave balm! Everyone is raving and I have oily skin so I need to try. I’ll also look into the Maybelline setting spray, I love my urban decay all night setting spray but I’d like to find a dupe. Great post!

Is the shaving balm a good primer for oily skin? If so I’ll definitely be giving this a try x

I hope you don’t mind me replying hehe, but the balm is GREAT for oily skin! I have the oiliest skin to ever grace mankind and while it doesn’t completely abolish oil, it’s the best product I have used that keeps it to a minimum. Hope I helped x

  19. March 10, 2016 / 10:43 pm

I have been seeing the Nivea Post Shave Balm everywhere! How would it work for dry/sensitive skin? I don’t use a primer for my makeup because I haven’t really found one that really works for me.

    • March 14, 2016 / 10:14 pm

I am not so sure about dry skin my love ! The balm is specifically for sensitive skin so I think you should be fine! It’s worth giving a go – it is so affordable! Xx

  20. March 14, 2016 / 10:43 pm
